Last November 25, the Department of Accountancy, spearheaded by the Accountancy Board Operations (AKTIBO) and JPIA, finally hosted the first onsite testimonial celebration and thanksgiving mass since the pandemic began. The testimonial celebration was held to toast the successful performance not only of the recent October 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) but also the passers of the October and December 2021 and May 2022 windows. The celebration was attended by the departmentβs chairperson and vice dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Jackqui Moreno, the AKTIBO coordinator and SBUAcAA trustee, Jayson Chio, other trustees of the Association, namely Mario Garcia and John Mark Borja, faculty of the department and volunteers of the JPIA.
Overall, there were 48 passers produced by the four separate windows, led by May 2022 second placer Darleen Alcantara and the December 2021 passers which produced the highest passing percentage since 2013.
